今回は国際政治部門から、押村 高ゼミ４年生、いつも笑顔が素敵な 渡辺 亜希子さん にお話をうかがいました。
押村ゼミについて
押村ゼミは、他の政治系のゼミのように研究分野や地域を特定するのではなく、「グローバル化とアイデンティティの現在」という研究テーマに沿って、個々人が自分の興味のある対象を見つけ、知識や理解を日々深めています。各々の研究対象は多種多様なため、"グローバル化、またその反動としての地域化が「アイデンティティの世紀」と呼ばれる21世紀をどう導いていくのか"、について様々なアプローチから学ぶことのできるゼミです。
渡辺さんのゼミ活動について
「疑問は必ず質問する」をモットーに積極的にゼミ活動に参加している渡辺さんは、ゼミ活動の中でも特に「プレゼンテーション」に力を入れていたそうです。３年生の時には、「日独の戦後アイデンティティ比較」などについてプレゼンを行い、現在取り組んでいる最中の卒業論文では「オーストリー」を研究対象にしていて、２年間を通じて特にドイツ、ヨーロッパのアイデンティティを中心に研究を進めています。
また文献等を通して理解を深められたことだけでなく、先生にアドバイスをいただきながらプレゼンの準備を行うことを繰り返すうちに、論理的な思考力やプレゼンのコツが身についたのも大きな収穫だったと教えてくださいました。
学外活動
入学当初からの「国際的な仕事がしたい」という想いのもと、マスコミ関係のバイトをしたり、語学の上達に力を注いだりと精力的に活動を行ってきた渡辺さん。中でも、一番力を入れていたのは「海外旅行」だったそうです。ゼミ内でも大の旅行好きで有名で、長期休暇のたび海外に１人旅や語学留学に行っていたそうです。その旅行のために、週に４日バイトを入れる日も多々あったとのこと・・。
マルタ、ドイツ、韓国などいろいろな国を旅して、多くの人々に出会ったことが、もっと多くの国に行ってみたい、様々な人に出会いたいというインセンティブにつながり、航空業界への就職を決意したそうです。
後輩へのアドバイス
・オススメ授業
：政治学言論、政治思想史、ヨーロッパ政治論の３つが特に印象に残っているとのことです！！！
・大学生活
：アドバイスできる立場ではないのですが・・と、とても謙虚な渡辺さんから皆さんへの貴重なメッセージです！！

いろいろなことに常に挑戦し続けて、大学生活を有意義に過ごされてきた渡辺さん。「振り返ったときにこれだけは頑張ったと胸をはれるものを見つけてください」とアドバイスをいただきました。

「何事にも、全力投球で！！！」と力強くコメントをしてくれました☆
どんなときでも真剣に物事に取り組む姿勢が、現在のキラキラした魅力的な渡辺さんの源なのかもしれませんね☆
