今回は国際経済、港　徹雄ゼミ４年生の池田　めぐみさん（左）にお話をうかがいました。


普段のゼミ

　港ゼミは経営・経済系のゼミで、国際ビジネス、日本経済、M&Aなどについて学んでいます。3年生はグローバル経営についての課題本を読み、章ごとに担当を決めて毎週担当の人が発表をします。4年生は卒論の前段階として、自分の研究テーマの沿った本を読み、それぞれ発表をしていきます。事例研究や、調査、情報収集の力をつけていきます。ちなみに池田さんはブランド戦略に興味があるとのことで、研究中だそうです。また、ゼミの前日分の日経新聞を各自が読んできて、気になった記事について発表しあい、先生がそれについてお話されます。ゼミ中の先生の発言は鋭く、ゼミ生はプレゼンの内容によっては、「そりゃもう古いね。」などと、ズバズバ斬られることもたびたびあります。先生のカリスマ性はゼミ生の誰もが認めており、その深みにどんどん引き込まれていきます。


懸賞論文

　また、3年生はちょうど今の時期から懸賞論文に取り組み始めます。懸賞論文は２～３人のグループで与えられたテーマ(①金融・製造業系、②農業・社会系)のどちらかを選んでやります。池田さんは去年、①の「日本の中小製造業の経営戦略」というテーマに沿って、鋳物工場３件に実際に出向き、実地調査も交えながら論文を完成させたそうです。6月から始めて９月に提出なので、グループごとに定期的に集まり、活動が進められます。グループによっては毎日集まっているところもあるそうです！そして、夏休みには湯河原の別荘で慶応大学、同志社大学との合同合宿を行い、懸賞論文の中間発表をします。


授業

　池田さんの好きな授業は、①大野先生の「開発経済学」と、②港先生の「産業組織」です。
経済を学ぶことで新聞・ニュースがより深く理解でき、物知りになるだけでなく、論理的思考が身についたそうです。


学外活動

　池田さんは旅行が大好きで、アルバイトをして旅行資金をためては、世界中にくりだしています。今までにアメリカ、ドイツ、フランス、スウェーデン、などを旅行したそうです。特にお気に入りなのがヨーロッパ。ドイツ人の人とホームステイをしあう等たくさんの素敵な出会いに恵まれたそうです。


最後に・・・

　池田さんが4年生になって言えること、それは、情熱を注げる何かを持つことだそうです。興味があることなら何でもいいので、それをとことん納得できるまでつきつめることが大切です。就活の場面では自分が何に挑戦してきたか、ということを人に胸を張って言えるようになることが、強く求められるそうです。池田さんはずばり大学生活を通して１番大切なことは"自分の人間性を伸ばす！！"という事とおっしゃっていました。私達の大学生活にぜひ参考にして、池田さんのように魅力的な大学生活を送れるようになりたいです。

I have seen plenty of useful items on your web site ゼミナール連合 Weblog: 港ゼミ　池田めぐみさん about pcs. However, I've got the opinion that notebook computers are still not nearly powerful enough to be a option if you often do jobs that require loads of power, for example video editing. But for net surfing, microsoft word processing, and quite a few other popular computer functions they are perfectly, provided you never mind the little screen size. Thank you sharing your ideas.
