このコーナーでは現在国際政治経済学部で充実した学生生活を送っている先輩方にスポットをあてて、ゼミや就職活動さらに大学生活全般についてインタビューし、お話をうかがっていきます。
先輩方のお話からヒントをいただき、少しでも充実した生活を送れるようにがんばっていきましょう！
記念すべき第１回のインタビューを引き受けてくださったのはいつも笑顔が素敵なJAZZピアニスト江本翔（えもと かける）さんです。
◎ゼミについて・・・
江本さんの所属する大野ゼミは３年生の４月からグループで懸賞論文に取り組み始め最終的にはそれらの論文を学校、そして企業に提出するそうです。江本さんのグループのテーマは"人々の意識面から見るマレーシアの開発経済"（２０２０年に先進国入りするといわれているマレーシアだがはたして人々の意識の面からしてそれは可能なのか）です。実際にグループでマレーシアに行きアンケートをとるなど活発な研究活動を行っているそうです。ゼミは学生のディスカッション中心に進められますが、大野先生のアドバイスも的確で、ゼミの時間は和気あいあいとしていてとても楽しいそうです。
◎大学生活について・・・
江本さんが、ゼミや勉強以外で１番力を入れているのがJazz Pianoです。小中学生時代、エレクトーンのデモンストレーターとして活躍していた江本さんですが、一時、音楽から離れた時期がありました。そんな江本さんを再び音楽への道に引き込んだのが大学入学直前に聞いたBill Evansのピアノ演奏だったそうです。彼の演奏に魅入られJazz Pianoをやることを決意した江本さんはJazz音楽サークルに入り、練習に励み、さらにお店やライブでPianoを弾いているそうです。Jazzをやる原動力について江本さんは
「色々な演奏を聴いていると自分の目標とする人が出てくる。この目標に一歩一歩近づいているという実感、あとは自分の演奏を聴いてくれた人の笑顔これが原動力だね」と語ってくださいました。しっかりと目標を見つけ、それに一歩一歩近づいていき、実感すること。これはJazzへの原動力だけでなく、江本さんのようにゼミや勉強だけでない充実した生活を送るポイントでもあると強く感じました。
◎就職活動について ～後輩へのアドバイス～
某大手IT企業から内定がでている江本さん就職活動の秘訣は。。。
1.とにかく自分から行動する！ なるべく色んな企業に足を運ぶ。
2.情報集め・リサーチは早くからやっておく！ 活動自体は早くからやっても集中力がかけるだけ。
3.BE OPEN MIND！人との出会いを大切に！ 色々な話を聴き、出会いを体験することで選択肢がどんどん変わってくる。
◎最後に・・・
