Voice

My area of interest is culture's influence on human cognition, emotion and motivation. I have academic expertise in cross-cultural psychology and have been applying this knowledge mainly to health communication research involving cancer patients with ethnically diverse backgrounds. Goals of my research include examining mechanisms in which culture shapes our world views and developing culturally appropriate and sensitive, innovative approaches to psychosocial and behavioral issues affecting intercultural communication in various social domains.
